What you'll do

All of my past guests rate this experience with the maximum stars!.
We will take a 3 hour tour (may be more, it depends on you) through the old quarter of Bogotá capital of Colombia, we'll begin with a delicious and typical breakfast, maybe you can try the "chocolate santafereño" or the "aguapanela" accompanied with the most delicious "almojábana" and fresh cheese, after that we will begin our historical jorney, you can learn about the place where they almost killed Simon Bolívar, or where the nun escaped from the convent to marry the love of her life, have you seen an indulgence? We'll see that too!, a cemetery inside a church? sure it's included in our tour, have you tasted the "chicha" haven't you?, well I'll take you where the high social Spanish founders separated themselves from the "Indian heathens", the same place where the chicha is drinked today, have you heard the tales of "la loca margarita" - the crazy Margarita? you'll get to know her sad, sad story; even Fidel Castro will appear on our journey, come aboard, this city is full of nooks and interesting turnings!
Other things to note
Consider that this experience can last up to four hours of walking through downtown Santafé, sometimes going up over a mild slope all through streets, please come with no heavy burdens.

Believe it or not, I'm a mechanical engineer with a passion for the history and culture of my city and my country, I love to talk to foreign visitors who are interested in this beautiful land and take them to unforgettable experiences, since my time in the university I've hosted with a lot of friends and coworkers this brief round in downtown Bogotá for almost 20 years, I even have taken my fathers in this experience and told them things they didn't know of their own city!

Where you'll be

We will take breakfast in one of the typical saloons of Bogotá (bring an empty stomach), then we'll be in our way to Plaza de Bolívar where almost all of our history has been decided or simply has happened, then we'll arrive to Iglesia Santa Clara passing by the Casa de Nariño (home of our president), after that we can head to the Museo Botero or Museo de Arte Colonial, we will end on the birthplace of Bogotá.
