What you'll do

If you've ever wanted to learn more about Yoga and to have some quality 1:1 time with an experienced teacher in an inspiring location then this personalised activity, overlooking the sea and historic Brighton landmarks, could be just what you're looking for!
Since Yoga was developed and inspired outdoors in nature by the ancient Sages in India thousands of years ago practising Yoga outdoors is a very authentic experience.
Upon confirmation of booking, you can choose to have your private Outdoor Yoga session on the pebbles beside the ocean (depending on the tide), or on the Lawns beside the candy-coloured beach huts, overlooking the sea. There's nothing like being beside the water, hearing the sound of the lapping waves to calm the mind, and support the 'Mindfulness' experience. Equally, lying on the grass on Hove Lawns is very relaxing, and "grounding", connecting us to the Earth energy.
After some health and safety questions, I'll discuss the session with you, and tailor it to your individual needs, eg, it can be a calm, relaxing, mindful class, or a more dynamic session with standing and balancing postures/sequences, a combination of both, or even to work on some specific concerns or asana queries you may have.
The session always finishes with the practice of Savasana, deep relaxation, lying on the mat/ground.
These sessions are 1:1 and the social distancing rules respected.

Where you'll be

Yoga on the seafront is a very sensory experience; being in nature helps us connect to the earth and elements. Yoga was developed and inspired in nature by the ancient Indian Sages and Yoga outdoors is an incredibly authentic experience . On hot days in the pure sunshine you can cool off in the sea afterwards!

Really wonderful experience. My first time doing yoga in a public space like that and she made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. It was great to get her insights on yoga and breathing techniques.

Cours très relaxant au bord de la mer. Sarah est très gentille et explique très bien. Seul point négatif le temps, car il y avait beaucoup de vent et faisais assez froid.

Cancellation policy

Any experience can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase, or at least 7 days before the experience starts.

Government ID

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.

More tips

These 1:1 sessions are tailored to the individual and are suitable for complete beginners as well as those who have already practised some Yoga and would like to develop further, and enjoy the experience of practising Yoga in a blissful location. The session duration is 75 minutes.

What to bring

A yoga mat/beach towel or blanket, water to drink, sunscreen – and swim-wear to Ocean Yoga, in case you want to go for a swim in the sea afterwards! A good tip is to wear layers, plus bring a light blanket/something warm to wear for the relaxation.
