So much fun. Rachel was an amazing host, she was engaging, energetic, and extraverted in the best sense of the word. It was our first night in Athens and she walked us through hidden gems of this amazing city. First stop was a locals outdoor bistro that had the freshest vegetables, fish, and delectables straight from the market. The ouzo was high quality and delicious. Then on to a second restaurant where we enjoyed charcuterie (including cured camel - trust me, yum), amazing fried pork in some kind of delicious sauce, and fresh house-made wine. The owner hung out with us for a bit and was super cool and funny. Then homemade Greek pastries and "mud coffee" at a super fun coffee outdoor house. To end the night, Rachel pointed out a few spots where locals enjoy a late night drink, one of which we decided to stay at and shared a few rounds with one of our newfound friends we met on the tour. Rachel regaled us with interesting stories and fun factoids throughout, making sure we were having fun and enjoying the experience. She pointed out and recommended multiple additional spots to come back to enjoy during our stay that we never would have been able to find or know about on our own. All in all a great way to start out trip. Highest recommendations. A+

Rachel was absolutely wonderful! She is very warm, inviting, and full of interesting information. Our whole family loved the experience, the fabulous food (I actually woke up craving the food in the middle of the night), and the terrific stories Rachel shared with us. We will be stopping by many of the restaurants, shops, and bars Rachel recommended. You should definitely sign on for this food tour!

Rachel's Traditional Food Tour in Athens was fantastic! My family and I got a real taste of Greece and tons of wonderful recommendations. We also got to know the city more as Rachel pointed spots out to us. Everything was easy-going and delicious—the perfect first-night activity! Rachel was fun, friendly, and thoughtful. With such a small group the tour has a very personal feel. I cannot recommend this tour enough. If you're thinking about it, DO IT!

This food tour was absolutely amazing! Michalis was very informative about Athen's unique history and had so much information to share about the local cuisine. It was also a hot day and we were kept hydrated at many of the special tour spots along the way. 10/10 I would recommend this tour, especially if you are looking for local insight, personal stories, and to meet Athenian locals.
