What you'll do

We will meet in the surroundings of La Conejera Wetland where we will share some healthy foods and we will present ourselves, then, we will walk to the beautiful Wetland where we will make an ecological walk that will have four stages, each of them related to the four elements of nature until we reach one of the most beautiful viewpoints where Bogota can be reconstructed before the city arrived. After that, a small meditation exercise will be carried out so each person can listen to the message that the territory has in store for them. Finally, in the return journey two talks will be held where the historical, environmental and political aspects related to this ecosystem will be discussed and a small feedback and farewell talk will be held in which we will share a delicious ancestral drink prepared with corn.

I am inspired by the contact with the communities and their struggles in the territories, I have visited different territories with the aim of building common-unit. For several years I have worked as an environmental interpreter in different spaces of ecological importance, especially in the city of Bogotá and its surroundings, i am convinced of the importance of recognizing nature as a carrier of messages. I consider important that people can know and interpret the messages that the territories preserve and that are the representation of the memory and the legacy of our ancestors

Where you'll be

David showed a little-known but amazing part of Bogota, the HUMEDAL de CONEJERA. He also gave some great information about local ecology and history. He was extremely responsive to questions and helpful with logistics. As a solo female foreign traveler I was especially appreciative of his understanding and attention to safety. A great experience - gracias David!
