What you'll do

In this masterclass you will learn all about fermenting and culturing. We will make sauerkraut, kimchi, fermented pickles, fruit ferment, nut cheeses and fermented drinks such as kombucha and water kefir. Lunch is included where you will sample a plethora of ferments. This is a hands on workshop and you will leave with a couple of different ferments as well as a kombucha scoby and water kefir grains. We will also learn about the incredible health benefits fermented foods have. “Asa is very knowledgeable and experienced in the field of fermented foods preparation and use, and their benefits. I am a Swedish Naturopath living and working in London. I see private clients, lecture at London College of Naturopathic Medicine, work as a naturopathic chef as well as teaching healthy eating classes. Fermentation is a passion of mine and I have been fermenting since childhood growing up next to my aunty who is growing, making and selling fermented vegetables for a living from her organic farm. I have just finsihed writing my first book. 'Fermentation' which is out in May 2019. I have a medical background as a nurse so my knowledge of health is vast. www.lineanutrition.co.uk

Where you'll be

The workshop is in my light, spacious and very lovely house in the very heart of Hackney. It is easy to get to with both busses and over rail. Nearest tube station is Dalston (5 minute bus ride from here stops pretty much outside our house). Nearest train stations are Hackney Downs (5 min walk), Hackney Central (10 minute walk), Clapton (7 minute walk) Bus 56 stops outside our house. Bus 55,38,48,106,243,254,393,425,488,393 stops 2 min walk away
