About The Old Operating Theatre Museum and Herb Garret
The Old Operating Theatre Museum & Herb Garret was founded in 1962 and it is an independent organisation at the heart of London's Borough of Southwark. It is managed by the Lord Brock Trust, a charitable incorporated organization. The museum raises income from admission, events and shop sales, supplemented by grants, sponsorship and donations.
This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to The Old Operating Theatre Museum and Herb Garret. .
What we’ll do
You will be among a select group of people who will experience an exciting event in the attic of St Thomas' Church in London Bridge: a secret concert in the oldest operating theatre in Europe. After climbing the 18th century spiral staircase into the bell tower, you will be greeted at the shop and lead into our wonderful Herb Garret. What else you should know
What makes our space special is also what makes it challenging: the only way into the museum is through a narrow 52-step spiral staircase. This is a shared experience with other museum patrons.
What to bring
If you want to be more comfortable, you can bring your own small cushion to sit on.
