I’m a senior instructor of Urasenke Tea Ceremony, and also a government-licensed English-speaking interpretive guide since 2009. With my deep understanding of the philosophy of tea ceremony and the command of English, I will offer a non-touristy, mindful tea ceremony. What we’ll do

First of all you will learn the philosophy and spirit of tea ceremony — especially “to live in the moment”. Then you will practice how to be a guest without actual tea: how to bow, how to take wagashi sweets onto your kaishi paper, and how to drink the matcha tea. Then the peaceful tea ceremony starts. Where you'll be

There are many tea ceremony experience places out there, but most of the time they are hosting many guests a day, their experiences are quite systematic and quick, it's just about going through the process, and it's very hard to "feel" the spirit of the tea ceremony. At this non-touristy, mindful tea ceremony, you will really immerse yourself into the world of tea ceremony. After the tea ceremony, you will visit refreshing waterfall on foot.

Government ID
