What you'll do

Please go to paintingandvine.com then select Monthly Calendar, then select Portland to see what events we are offering our AIRBNB guests. These include painting with acrylics, creating glass mosaic, making jewelry, cutting Notan paper, learning how to make a stop-motion animation, and sketching a live model. Each of our art/craft events start with an overview of the project at hand. This often includes a historical perspective and its relevance to Portland. Patrons are then introduced to the tools necessary to complete the art form, followed by step by step instructions. Because our studio is small, only 12 seats, each patron is guaranteed one-on-one instruction.

Where you'll be

While most of the events are held at our studio, our Urban Street Art event starts and ends at the studio but you will travel the streets of the Pearl District looking for sidewalk objects such as Portland City utility works plates. We will use these objects to create imprints on canvass tote bags. The process may take multiple imprints to achieved the desired effect. We return to the studio to touch up or add details and then dry the bag.
