What you'll do

Aerial Yoga One to One.

Aerial Yoga is a playful and interesting way of improving every aspect of well-being. It is effective, fulfilling and calming.

Aerial Yoga helps to develop strength, flexibility, postural alignment and relaxation.

Here is how it works.

Throughout the yoga session, you do various traditional yoga poses or aerial adaptations of traditional poses using a hammock of special soft, high density nylon material that supports your body.

Some of the most basic poses involve simple stretches while seated on the hammock, while other poses progress to contact with your thighs, knees, ankles or feet for support and balance. It is possible to progress to hanging upside down and doing, with practice, doing flips and supported handstands.

After the active part of the practice, the session finishes with relaxation in the hammock. Your horizontal body is gently supported and enveloped in the hammock like a protective cocoon. This is a truly sublime experience.

The practice is accompanied by relaxing music and guests are offered homemade tea after.

As the practice is taught on a one to one basis the session can be tailored to your individual needs.

I went for this session with a little bit of prior aerial yoga experience and fair amount of yoga experience, whilst on the mend from a cervical disc injury. Deborah tailored the session perfectly to my needs. The atmosphere was informal, relaxing and very safe. I’m inspired to get a sling of my own now! Also, the tiny niggle in my neck that I went in with was completely gone by the time we were done. Inversions were incredibly yummy and I think I might have grown half an inch!

It was very informative session, we did a mixture of activities for stretching, strengthening and relaxing. Thank you Deborah for the great experience.
