Cindy

I grew up by the ocean and I have always had a great passion for the sea - in fact for all of nature and its creatures. I always wanted to get more involved in conservation and sustainability, and I realised this dream when we founded the Shark & Marine Research Institute in 2015. We are a non-profit company that is dedicated to protecting shark and ray populations - which face such severe threats across the globe - and to safeguarding the health and vitality of our oceans. My co-host is Mary Rowlinson - our amazing marine biologist and programme manager who loves sharks and the ocean more than anyone I have ever met! Her extensive qualifications include a BSc Honours in Zoology, a Masters in Marine Science, Category C Skipper's Licence, First Aid Level 2 qualification, Class 4 Commercial Diver's, Pre-Sea and Tour Guide certificates.
