What you'll do
Are you an actor, a playwright, a storyteller, a poet, a writer or a blogger? Or simply, are you someone who constantly have inner dialogues in your head, an idea hamster, eager to express yourself to the outside world? In this highly interactive 3-hr workshop, you will learn what it means to create an active and engaging monologue. Hone your ideas, express and perform them on stage like a phoenix reborn. You will experience the three types of monologues most commonly heard onstage and understand the three key components of a monologue that absorb people into a character’s world. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a draft a monologue which you can use for yourself, for auditions or better yet, in the upcoming 3rd edition of The Singapore Monologue Slam! Minimum age for admission is 13 years old. Prior training or experience is not required. Participants need to bring a laptop or writing materials.
