About your host

What we’ll do

Walk a vineyard - wander the vineyard with an expert viticulturist. Learn all the procedures of how grapes are grown and even sample some grapes from the vine if you are there at the right season! Taste some delicious local fare and sample wines from the vineyards that you just walked through. Amazing photo opportunities. Enter as strangers, leave as friends.

What else you should know

We will be walking between vineyards and spending the majority of the time outdoors. Please dress for weather. We will be walking on uneven ground, for about an hour, so walking shoes are required

What I’ll provide

Snacks
Homemade and locally made snacks, such as Whitestone Cheese and pinot gris jelly.
Wine
Wine tastings of select local wines from the surrounding vineyards

What to bring

walking shoes
camera
sunscreen and sunhat
windbreaker/jacket

Where you'll be

The meeting spot is a special place with the best views in the valley looking across to Queenstown and Coronet Peak one side and Kawarau Gorge the other. With two cheeky springer spaniels to accompany you around the vineyard this will be a walk to remember. Bring your camera to capture the views! Ending up at the old stone house for wine and snacks.
