What you'll do

This experience is mainly tailored for beginners, however all levels are welcome! While in la belle province,* you will enjoy learning Canadian French, with words and expressions only a local would know! This experience allows you to learn basic French expressions as well as the informal use of the French Canadian (Québécois) language, with an emphasis on proper idiomatic and slang usage! A French language handbook,** including expressions in Québecois slang, will be provided to you. I will focus on the language and/or culture depending on your interests, French level and previous knowledge of the country. I will provide instant feedback on your accent, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. I will help you converse with locals with more confidence. I am very flexible and I consider your needs/likes first. I'll provide you with everything you need to progress. I am very patient. Take your time and you will succeed! :) The class will take place in a mythical café in Montreal close to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts! *Nickname for Québéc **The handbook also includes my best addresses in town!

Where you'll be

We will conduct our meeting in Café Aunja, a great little hidden gem close to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. It is a perfect place for tea, coffee, pastries, and a meeting place for friends. The atmosphere is delightful; the decor and the lighting (suspended lights) all add a distinctive charm to it. You can enjoy their fresh lemon, ginger, and rosemary tea in a jar as it is by far the best tea I've ever had in a café in downtown Montreal.
