What you'll do

The tour is an amazing chance for wine lovers to discover small wineries, visit the wine cellar, to taste local specialities and wine of high quality. The E-bike allows the participants to overcome the steep uphill ways, enjoy the views on the flat parts and roll downwards on save and easy roads. Apart from the easy roads I worked out some medium and advanced routes ready to choose depending on the cyclists skills. The routes after the wine tastings are pretty easy ;-) We start in Chiusa and pass through the picturesque alleys of the town heading towards the vineyards, forests and meadows of the southeast facing part of Val d'Isarco. The places we pass are Velturno, ( depending from the itinerary and bikers skills we could pass through Verdignes, Caerna, Snodres, Lazfons, Scezze). After some breaks for water and pictures at the panorama we get to the first winery where the farmer introduces us to his work and the wine cellar. After the tasting of wines and local specialities in a cozy atmosphere we continue our tour towards the next winery where we discover different barrels, wines and stories. We pedal back to Chiusa where we can still enjoy some town life.

Andrea

In the last few years I have been working both as a mountain bike guide and as a sommelier. Because I love both jobs I took the decision to combine them in one project. The location I've choosen is Val d ' Isarco, the closest wine production area to my home, Val Gardena. I love to meet people from all over the world and that's one of the reasons I love this job. Its a pleasure for me to introduce anyone to the beauty of the Dolomites and its sourroundings as well as my knowledge about wines. The languages I speak are Italian, German, English, Spanish, little French and Russian, the language I speak at home is Ladin. Since June 2015 I'm a certified Mountain bike guide. In January 2016 I completed the final sommelier exam.

Where you'll be

Besides many panoramic spots there are some of historical interest like the village Verdignes where soldiers of Napoleon and local farmers got to an agreement wich avoided further eskalation of conflicts. There are two small wineries on each tour where you need to reserve the guiding in the wine cellar because they are family businesses and they have a lot of work on the farm. There are hidden paths to avoid traffic loaded roads.
