What you'll do
On arrival at the farm I will explain a little about each animal and share with you what makes alpacas special. You will have the chance to meet Oreo, Tom Thumb and Ebony who are stay at home boys. If you’d like to walk out with me to take the herd out to graze in the morning or to collect them at the end of the day, it will be an easy 10-30 min beautiful walk on our hills. (Highly recommended, ages 5 and up will be fine) You will also have the chance to visit our little studio and learn about how we process our fleece and felt with it. . You are welcome to spend as much time with the animals as you like. Once you have finished spending time with the animals you can swim in our farm dam and spend time on the farm
I am an artist, teacher and farmer. I am used to working with children and adults and am passionate about sharing my knowledge of our wonderful animals. I was a teacher for 22 years and have been learning about and breeding these incredible, curious creatures for the last 5 years. I believe that everyone (especially those from the city) should have the chance to meet these animals, spend time in nature and reconnect with the natural world. I like to keep my communication style simple and fun and like people to have a hands on experience with the opportunity to ask many questions.

Our animals, especially our alpacas are curious and enjoy interacting with people but of course, as they are animals, we cannot guarantee that they will feel like being cuddled. Spit happens, but I will generally be able to warn you before it does.
