What you'll do

On arrival we will have you sign your life away in case you fall in the water and get wet. You will get to meet Raymond our local indigenous guide and get measured up for a paddle board. We will get you onto the water as soon as possible with a thorough lesson and ensure you are all competent paddling on your knees with good technique before we stand up and start our 90 minutes tour. Once we have our sea legs we will be stopping at mini beaches to find some bush tucker and explore the land and the water that the local indigenous have lived with for thousands of years. Raymond is and expert in the area and his explanations (yarns) will have you captivated about this pristine marine environment. Your questions will start to flow and we will let the tour guide us. We will encounter fish, stingrays, pelicans , sea eagles , dolphins. We will taste plants and paddle board one of the most beautiful waterways in Australia. By the end of the tour you probably won't realise you have paddled a few kilometres.. congratulations .

Raymond Timbery and I have know each other for 14 years and I first met Ray as a student that I taught. Ray now teaches me about mother (earth) . Ray leads our cultural tours and I lead the paddle boarding areas of the tour. I have been teaching for 20 years and paddle boarding for 9 years. I have built strong relationships within our community and have been an advocate for our stunning marine environment. Raymond has been listening, learning and appreciating the land since birth. Ray and I combine our teaching experience with our passion for this beautiful area to lead a tour like no other.

Where you'll be

Each area we stop to chat about the bush foods are areas you cannot drive to. These spots are only accessible by water. Without our indigenous guide you could not learn about the environment and the bush tucker and the relationship with the land. Using paddle boards allows access into marine environments not accessible by land or motorised boat.
