This experience was a good introduction to the Islamic architecture and history of Seville. Ignacio was friendly and engaging throughout the walk and did his best to make the experience feel truly local by taking us to a local cafe after the tour so we could sit down and chat. Thank you.

We really enjoyed this in-depth tour that delves into the rich islamic heritage of this city with Ignacio. Ignacio is a passionate historian, who genuinely cares to give his guests the best experience in Sevilla, including giving recommendations for other things to try in the city! For sure we recommend this tour to truly experience as well as understand the city and Andalusia!

Ignacio was a wonderful guide, taking us to locations we probably wouldn’t have found on our own, and teaching us things about the city and it’s history we wouldn’t have known. If there were questions he couldn’t answer directly or English words/phrases that he couldn’t quite understand, he used apps to assist him. If the opportunity arises, I will book another guided tour with him.

I really enjoyed this tour. Ignacio is a historian and knows his stuff, so this tour wasn't just sight-seeing but also included a lot of knowledge sharing. Since it's a longer tour, he was also very flexible and we took breaks to eat or drink something and share stories. This is a very personalized experience and not one you would get if you sign up for one of the regular tours. Absolutely worth it.

Ignacio gave us glimpses of the moorish past of Seville which I would never have been able to detect or see on my own even with guide books or otherwise. This was important to us because we came to Andalusia to experience the multiplicity of cultures present in this corner of the world throughout its history. Present day Seville wears its more recent past everywhere in the historic quarter except of course for the alcazar. So we looked for something of ishbiliya and Ignacio led us to the traces of its presence left in courtyards and churches. Very satisfying. Ignacio kindly forgave our late arrival at the meeting point. He is passionate about ishbiliya and is also a very warm and friendly person.
