What you'll do
Brazil is one of the most multicultural and ethnically diverse nations. That is very well expressed in its people, food and way of living. Do you like to experience different cultures, music, try out traditional food and drinks? Then you are at the right place! After gathering together at the meeting point, we will head off to General Glicério's famous food and handcrafts market. As we walk through the market you will find many different market stalls, such as cheese, jams and exotic fruits where you can try out. We will eat a traditional Brazilian snack, pastel with many different filling to choose from, which is always served with an ice cold sugarcane juice. Then we will try a traditional Portuguese codfish snack, the bolinho de bacalhau. We will then enjoy the Chorinho (slow samba) band that performs at the market and drink a tasty Brazilian cocktail, caipirinha. The market is also a great place to buy local souvenirs and handcrafts.
