What you'll do

Warren brings stories alive as he narrates Napier's past and present. You will journey from town to country. Hear of a vibrant coastal city brought to an earth-shattering standstill by the famous 1931 earthquake. Recount the tales of personal loss and tragedy. This resilient city rebuilt to become known as the self-proclaimed Art Deco Capital of the world. Visit the art Deco suburb.

For your transport during the experience we turn the clock back over 50 years to the automotive golden era. Enjoy your a ride in A very rare classic 1965 Pontiac sedan. This vehicle was 1st registered in NZ in 1966

Visit locations with panoramic views that you will not find without local knowledge.

We pass through an orchard looking at the progressive growing methods of local fruit before experiencing local hospitality at Warren and Fiona’s family home on a small country block. We grow our own fruit and vegetables. We will talk about living on the block, then enjoy a coffee or tea & take in the ocean views surrounded by orchards kissing the coastline.

Hi, I’m Wazza, I appreciate nature and life's simple pleasures. I grew up in Napier owning and operating a specialist mechanical and rental car business.
My passion for Napier’s history and Art Deco heritage led me to become a local tour guide. Through traveling, I developed an understanding of what it takes to showcase a city, the past and the present. Combining a Napier city tour with a rural experience and an invitation to join us on our country block creates for you a truly unique experience. Let's meet and get started.

absolutely super day out with Warren. This was a unique experience we really felt like we got an in-depth knowledge not only of the wonderful art deco city but also the surrounding areas including two lovely walks and an opportunity to experience his amazing home and sustainable gardens. This tour provided so much more than a commercial tour and a ride back to town in his classic car ended a wonderful tour. We hope to come back to do a wine tour one day!

We felt from the outset this was going to be good! And it was. Warren has.an easy friendly manner and was happy to respond to our own interest questions, as well as provide a wealth of historical and personal knowledge of the city and surroundings. Providing morning tea and a video to pull together all we had learnt as well as meeting his lovely wife Fiona was a bonus. The finishing touch - riding home in his beautifully reconditioned Chev was the icing on the cake! A highly recommendable experience- thank you Warren

This was an awesome experience! I learned a ton about the history of the area, got to do a bit of hiking, and had the most wonderful coffee break at Wazza’s place! I loved meeting the sheep and riding in Wazza’s amazing 1966 Pontiac Laurentian, as well!
