What you'll do
We'll drive out to Aljezur on the West Coast of the Algarve to the AEZA Dog Shelter. The aim of the shelter is to re-home the dogs that come into their care. In order to do this the dogs need as much interaction and love from people as possible...this is where we come in.
Aljezur is rich in history and has a great scenic walk up to the Aljezur Castle. We'll take a group of dogs up to the Aljezur castle and enjoy the breeze and views of Aljezur. In total the walk will take around 1.5 hours.
From here we will drive over to a winery on the South Coast of the Algarve, walk through the winery and surroundings before enjoying an outdoor solo wine tasting. Please note this is just a tasting of their own wines, not a tour of the winery or a hosted tasting. We will have around 45 minutes at the winery to enjoy the surrounding grounds, which includes lots of eclectic sculptures done by owner of the winery!
To finish off the day we'll head to a secluded South Coast beach, enjoy a big healthy lunch and relax! before heading back to Lagos by 5pm

Neide and I are experienced guides who love to show people the best spots in the Algarve. We're two down to earth people who have lived abroad, hiked and explored many countries and love to meet new people. Our goal each and every tour is to ensure that you see and experience the best of the Algarve has to offer. Chris has his Wilderness First Aid training certificate and worked with one of the leading hiking businesses in the Algarve. Neide was born in the Algarve and grew up in the countryside of Alvor until she was 18. She then moved to Terceira Island to attend the University of Azores and graduated as a Nature Tour Guide. She also completed her First Aid course (certified nº81/2012) during this time. She speaks both English and Portuguese fluently.

Where you'll be
The AEZA Dog Shelter has been established for over 7 years in the Algarve. The volunteers who work here love their job and love the dogs. Aljezur is a small rural feeling town close to many West Coast Beaches.
The Winery on the South Coast is home to award winning wine and artwork and has stunning surrounding grounds which we will see.
Our beach location is secluded, off the tourist map and offers a great place to swim and relax.

Communication policy
Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside the Airbnb website or app.
Guest requirements
Up to 8 guests ages 17 and up can attend.
If you are a family with kids under 17 please let us know and we will arrange a private family tour. Also let us know of any dietary requirements.
