What you'll do

Having lived in New Orleans the last 6 years I can provide guest with a wealth of knowledge not only about the wetlands surrounding the Nola but also the best local restaurants, music venues, and hangouts. I can tell you where to go and where not to go and most importantly, how to have fun and be safe.

If you are searching for a gorgeous, natural and picturesque kayak swamp tour – this is your tour! See dense cypress forest, expansive wetlands, and an array of wildlife surrounding you as you paddle on waters that are ideal for beginners and adventurers.

Total tour time from getting picked up in the French Quarter, Wetlands Kayak Tour, to getting dropped back of in the quarter is about 5 hours total. The drive takes about 45 minutes each way, we take a bathroom break right before and right after the tour as well. Before you head out on tour you are outfitted with all proper equipment and given a paddle lesson.

We will meet at(outside):
The Yard
405 Frenchmen Street
New Orleans, LA 70116 at 12:45pm.

New Orleans Kayak Swamp Tours' passion has always been for the great outdoors (check out our website and TripAdvisor page!). Preservation, conservation, and education are our main focuses when guiding you through Louisiana's Most Endangered Natural Resource, the Wetlands.

My love of the outdoors began at summer camp. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to lead people on adventure trips which I have been doing professionally for the last 6 years here in Louisiana.

The experience itself was amazing however there were several things that we did not appreciate. We were told 1.5 hours before the tour's start time that it was being pushed back several hours. We were able to make it work but as someone who plans, it was very inconvenient. During the tour, our guide blazed ahead and we felt like we were being left behind. Afterwards, I accidentally left something on the van and despite reaching out and being assured it was being looked into, I still have not received word if it was found or not, 3 days later.

Wonderful experience! Bring sunscreen though because you will get burned even if it’s cloudy! Saw lots of gators and had a blast kayaking through the beautiful bayou.

Shout out to BINGO he really is an amazing guide that makes the experience unique and exciting. He was super informative about New Orleans. And helpful when getting stuck/help. I was a newbie, it was super easy once you get the hang of it.

We really enjoyed this kayak tour! Had a friendly guide and a nice group of fellow kayakers. The swamp itself was really stunning, and we got to see a few gators like we hoped!

The instructor was late and never apologized for it. The truck we we’re in was filthy and smelled terrible. We had to wait in the vehicle upon arrival, then was presented with a speech that was so discouraging to new kayakers. There were no instructions. We got into the kayak and was literally pushed into the water. There was a group of women who was lagging behind... after making it to a certain point the instructor called them out infront of everyone, making them turn back around to wait while the rest of the group carried on smh.

The tour was sadly a let down and I had booked it with a lot of anticipation from the previous reviews. We were assigned a different tour guide with no prior notification and our new tour guide was late also with no phone call to warn us. There was just a group of us standing around waiting. 40 min past the start time a guide showed up in a van with no AC, when we arrived onto the kayaks it was not much of a tour only bits and pieces of dialogue. I would put my money on going on swamp tours with a different company as I did in my last visit to New Orleans
