What you'll do
First up, we will meet up in the northeast corner of the parking lot along the Arizona Canal to ride to all the wonderful places we want to see. BYOB (bring your own bike) or you can rent an electric bike from the electric bike shop across the street. We will learn about the history of the arts community in Scottsdale by travelling to the Cattle Track Arts Compound and depending on availability, get a chance to meet some of the local artists who live and have their studios there. Next, we'll head to the Scottsdale Xeriscape Garden to learn about local plants and the importance of water conservation. After soaking in the beauty and aesthetics of the Xeriscape Garden, we will head to the final gem on our tour. Arizona Falls, the only naturally occurring waterfall in the Scottsdale area. To complete our adventure, we will ride the canal back to the parking lot where we began to finish our fun and educational tour of the Hidden Gems of Scottsdale.
I am a medically certified adventure travel guide. I am an Arizona native and have been professionally guiding tours for over 7 years. I have led sea-kayaking tours in Norway, glacier tours in Alaska, and multi-sport trips all over the western United States. The Hidden Gems of Scottsdale Tour is something that I designed to showcase my favorite places to go in Scottsdale that I feel give a good idea of the cultural and environmental history of Scottsdale.
