What you'll do

《Indigo Dyeing Experience》
During this dye-licious indigo dyeing workshop, you will take part in the process of dyeing from concept all the way to finished product. Every simple step will be part of the dyeing process and by putting your heart into it, you will make the work unique. You will make your own Shibori tie-dye or Itajime, a wooden-plate-dye, using a 50x50 centimeter Furoshiki—a traditional wrapping cloth—with the option to upgrade to something else. You will experience the experimental spirit behind the creative process using fresh food waste colors provided by seasonal with blue from purple cabbage in our Indigood House.

If you have any enquiry on class schedule, please feel free to massage us of your desired day and time.
We're welcome all of you to experience natural dyeing!

You'll be able to upgrade the Furoshiki to a scarf, t-shirt, Chinese QiPao, or Japanese Yukata. We'll have over 30 fabric items to choose from. Don't worry about drying the clothes, we'll do it here.

We're the founders of Dyelicious in Hong Kong. We start dyeing in 2012, by using leftover food as its ingredient, our products were hailed as the “world’s most beautiful colors” at the 2015 Milan World Expo.

The project of local grown Hong Kong's Indigo Dyeing start in 2019, which we would like to bring the glamorous of Natural Blue to you. At our studio, you'll find the natural colors that belong to Hong Kong, that belong to food, and that belong to you. We've always strived to give leftover food the starring role, and to let you find the moving and happy aspects of life, as well as experience the art of living. We hope that with the infusion of modern technology, the traditional art of dyeing can find new expressions, and this is the reason we founded Dyelicious.

Christy was a kind and knowledgeable instructor. She patiently and clearly demonstrated the ways of making different patterns to us and helped us upgrade to different items based on what we would find useful. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys craft and blue textiles. It was a lovely gift experience to do with my mum. Take a bit of extra cash so you can upgrade to 2 items if you want.

I had a great time at Dyelicious. It was really special that we got to learn about the sustainability of the dyes and how it’s made. The hosts switched to English easily and I never felt lost in the process or left out being foreign. Now I get to walk away with a one of a kind piece and memory!
