We are an artist and a chef couple that have been doing Turkish Home Cooking Classes in Bodrum since 12 years. I am an industrial designer, graduated from Rhode Island School of design, worked as an executive all my life, after retirement we moved to Bodrum South western part of Turkey on the Mediterranean Coast with my Family. My wife Asli is a welknown Chef and her passion to cook and share her family recipes was the reason we started doing cooking classes with market visit programs in the area. She is also a member of the SlowFood Convivium in Bodrum where they are trying to save ancient recipes and traditions. She was on TV on many cooking shows and had her own show on our local Kenttv. My role in this project is bringing you to our house and visiting the farmers markets in the area before you start cooking our delicious menu

I had a really fun time at the cooking class. The host was really a really friendly, lovely woman and she told me so much about Turkish food and culture. Everything we made was very tasty and fresh, definitely some of the best food I’ve had in Turkey paired with some great local wine. Also, the location of the class was in a really scenic spot with a great view in a really cute flat. I would definitely recommend to give it a try! The only disappointing thing was the bazaar market visit, but I was told because of covid there wouldn’t be much there.

Great experience! The market visit is interesting, sampling many varieties of local produce and observing interactions with local vendors. Learning more about Turkish cooking and savoring a great meal was also interesting and enjoyable.
