In and out of the port of New Orleans, Eric is a descendent of French pirates who sailed the high seas of the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. Even in recent generations, both his maternal and paternal grandfathers worked in the port of New Orleans importing fruit from the Caribbean and Latin America. Being the first land lover in his family, he traded in the helm for handle bars.

A native of New Orleans, Eric posses a knowledge of the city that exceeds research, he is a product of its culture. From rolling in Mardi Gras parades in his youth, getting his first high school job as a beignet chef at Cafe du Monde, and being steeped in our city's customs his whole life. He not only lives in New Orleans - New Orleans lives in him. Eric's tours are well rounded and offer both the better and lesser known narratives of New Orleans history.

What a wonderful experience. We leaned so much history on the tour. Was not expecting to gain so much knowledge, we signed up to just ride bikes but left with so much more insight about New Orleans. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

Eric was a great guide, and the thing that doesn't really come through when you're reading about the experience before booking it is his humor. He's a funny guy, and a great storyteller. I haven't been on a non-stationary bike since I was a kid, but I guess you really don't forget how to ride one because it didn't take long to get back into the swing of things. Our bikes were quickly customized for comfort/ease of use, and even though the weather was very hot/humid during our tour, the interesting stories and personal experiences that Eric shared during our trek made the time pass by very quickly. There are quite a few bike tours in New Orleans, but we're very glad that we found/booked this one.
