What you'll do

We will start our experience by sharing some insights about the history of Salsa, and the African influences in Latinamerican music while we enjoy a delicious fresh juice of local fruits. Seriously, the fruits here are amazing.

In a pressure-free environment, we will learn about the different instruments of Salsa and ecuadorian music. By setting a comfortable and creative atmosphere through theatrical games, I will introduce music and the essential attitude of these happy rhythms. We will approach the music and dance as they are: Languages, natural ways of communication. We will also practice the movements.

Whether you are an expert musician, or you've never played an instrument before, this experience will breathe fresh and creative ideas into your life. Bring your USB, and I' ll share the best of my Latinamerican music collection with you.

I look forward to meeting you!

I am a passionate about music and dance, and I love to teach Salsa and other Latin rhythms based on African dance and percussion. I've been practicing African percussion for more than 12 years and dancing salsa since I was kid.

My understanding of music and dance allows me to share this knowledge and make it fun. I believe that if you can walk, you can dance! Everyone is welcome.

The power of music will always bring joy and happiness to everyone; it doesn't matter what language you speak, music is truthfully the language of the soul.

Despite some technical difficulties with the AirBNB app, my friend and I had a great time with Juan Sebastian. The drums and dance experience was great, and a wealth of knowledge and learning about Ecuador’s Afro-population!

Juan was awesome, very welcoming and educating. He clearly has a passion for what he does, like a true artist. A really engaging experience and we learned so much- my brother plays the drums and he will certainly be utilizing the rhythms Juan taught him. And my mother and I still practice the salsa steps :) Very nice, especially for the price! Definitely recommend. Thank you!!!
