Up to 4 people
Hosted in English, Italian

What you'll do

With COVID limitations in mind unless it is family or friends of your choice we will only allow this to be a four person class and weather permitting you'll dine outdoors.

Whatever the circumstance Linda and Ted will greet you with a warm welcome at their mountain top retreat which, wherever you look, has either stunning views or picturesque vignettes of ponds and barn.

Award winning Chef Ted will introduce you to the overall theme of the course and then lead a hands-on pasta making class where you’ll learn to roll out fettuccine, ravioli, and tortellini from scratch--including fillings and sauces. We’ll use mostly organic and regional ingredients that herald mainly from nearby Vermont farms.

This is a two and a half to three hour class with recipes included. Chef Ted will also talk about the history of the dishes and ingredients.

Tailored to your level of expertise this is an opportunity to fine tune your culinary skills with a personalized experience and education--so roll up your sleeves and come sizzle with us on this Vermont food odyssey!

Repeats regularly on most Wednesday and Saturday evenings but contact us to change to another date, time, or a different class to suit your schedule.

I'm Ted, an award winning chef, living a beautiful lifestyle I'd like to share with you—as well as coach you in a personalized cooking class.

It’s rewarding to offer this from my home using local ingredients, an idea I helped pioneer with my wife, Linda, since '75. We are forerunners in wine pairings & vanguards in Vermont’s farm to table culinary community which champions local products.

My restaurant career began at the age of 5, frying baloney & cooking minute rice on the radiator plus hanging out in the kitchens of my grandmother & restaurateur grandfather.

As adults we wandered through some grand kitchens in France & Italy where my interest in food reignited.

Our last restaurant, Hemingway's, received many accolades including Top 25 R's in America-Food & Wine Magazine & 50 Most Distinguished R's in the US-Condé Nast Traveler.

Linda and Ted are the definition of Super hosts. We felt welcome there and they made sure that we were doing well on our stay. They provided healthy breakfasts and went above and beyond to help my girlfriend and I get to their residence while it was snowing and tough to get up the hill. Ted personally met with us and drove us the rest of the way and helped us with our luggage. They are very welcoming and caring individuals. I would definitely go back. I absolutely LOVED their cooking class!

Such a great experience and wonderful food! We had a great time, learned a lot, and we can’t wait to make our own homemade pasta, tortellini and ravioli!

Ted and Linda's home is incredibly beautiful...WOW! They're home sets the tone for the entire evening and makes you feel like you're heading into a grand experience. HEADS UP: My boyfriend and I got lost trying to find their home and bumped into another couple going to the same experience. If your gps says you have arrived and it's not their house_ keep straight up the path for about an addition 2 miles until you reach a dead end. The lesson was sooooooooo long, but the meal was delicious. Chef did warn us in the beginning that we would need patience, but maybe eat a snack before coming to hold you off. It was a wonderful experience working together and getting to know other couples. Definitely, a nice actively to add to your list if you're visiting Vermont.

Ted and Linda had a very welcoming and comforting home. Us 'students' had hands-on experience and an exceptional menu. Each person had a different 'job' and experience that was important and contributed to each dish. Ted and Linda were amazing hosts and we had a surprise guest with their very friendly and adorable cat.
