What you'll do

It has always been my pet peeve when visitors opted to down cheap commercial Korean alcohols as Korean liquor is much more than soju in green bottles found in convenient stores. So why not join me in the journey of learning and tasting various alcohols that Korea has to offer, that are otherwise left unknown to you without a proper guide. Behind a traditional patterned wooden door of Unni Sarangbang, there lies a world of Korean alcohols and food that will change your views on our eating/drinking culture. Let me tingle your tastebuds and thirst with many different craft alcohols. Take this experience up a notch by getting your hands on squeezing makgeolli, Korean unfiltered rice wine, that you'll later get to enjoy sipping on. Besides drinking, this experience will not be complete without the delicious savory Korean bites paired with the alcohols.

Where you'll be

A once empty Hanok- found by accident after a disappointing rejection from another Hanok- that is now transformed into a new space without losing its hominess. It's now renewed as a space where Korea's romantic past intertwines with the taste of Korean alcohols and anju(side dish) put together like those in the old days. Here, I welcome you to kickback and relax like it is your own living room, as I enlighten you with Korea's taste of tradition.
