What you'll do

* UPDATE*
Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the use of private vehicles inside the park is forbidden. Due to this, for now, the tour inside the National Park will be done entirely on foot.
As Pedra Bonita trail is closed on weekends and holidays, the tour at the moment isn't going there.

We will meet in the neighborhood of Tijuca, next to the subway station Uruguay. From there, we will take my car to the beginning of the trail of the Almas waterfall, where we will walk for about 20 minutes to this small but beautiful waterfall. Then we will walk to another waterfall, the waterfall Diamantina, and on the way we will visit beautiful caves. After this tour, we will return to the car and we will go to Pedra Bonita, where we will make a trail of about 30 minutes until we reach its summit, with a breathtaking look, to end our tour in style!

P.S.: The Pedra Bonita hike occurs during week days (monday to friday), on weekends and holidays the hike is to the top of Tijuca's Peak (the highest mountain of Tijuca Forest and the second highest in the city of Rio).

Other things to note:

This activity depends on good climatic conditions, and may have it's date changed if it rains. It is important to be able to undertake easy to moderate walking.

Where you'll be

We will visit the Tijuca Forest National Park, an area of environmental protection where the flora and fauna of the Atlantic Forest is preserved. A place of exuberant nature, and that makes you forget you are inside one of the largest metropolises in the world!

Gabriel was a wonderful guide. He met us at the Metro Station and drove us into the park for a nice hike to waterfalls and a large cave. Then he drove us to a separate area of the park to hike to Pedra Bonita, a beautiful overlook. Gabriel provided detailed information about history, animals, and plants. He was very friendly and patient.

Gabriel was super friendly and easy going in our communication before-during even -after the trip, couse we’re asking for other recommendations in Rio. He came along without any further due to our wish for a different meeting point.. The tour itself was good prepared and organized and Gabriel was able to give us not only Infos for the Tijuca National Park but also had gut general knowledge of Rio and Brasil as well. Would recommend him to other tourists 🙂

A experiência é excelente.
