What you'll do

We’ll meet in the parking lot at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, a beautiful nature preserve with a combination of ocean views, beach access, and an enchanted cypress forest on the beach bluff. Depending on the day and season, we may encounter views of sunbathing harbor seals, or take a tidepool walk with views of underwater reef life.

As we wander on the land, we will immerse all of our senses in the natural surroundings with guided invitations to engage with nature, make art in silence, and then share our experiences with others in the group. Like a scavenger hunt of the senses, we will let ourselves be guided by what we experience as our attention becomes one with the rhythms of nature.

Afterwards, you can either stay for a picnic lunch that you bring with you, OR you can visit one of the many local food spots that I will share with you in my list of personal recommendations.

Use of cell phones will be limited during this experience.

Please contact me if you are interested in a date you don't see scheduled. I am very open to creating private experiences tailored to your needs! Let's discuss.
Other things to note

I’m a 14-year resident of the Bay Area and have lived on the coastside for 6.5 years. Originally trained in western medicine, I’m now an artist, holistic life coach, and mindfulness practitioner, and I’d to love share with you how slowing down, and using art to record our experiences, can help us calm, heal, and transform ourselves. I travel frequently, hike, bike, and backpack, and carry my portable art supplies with me everywhere I go! By slowing down and quieting down, I have found a deeper appreciation of both small and big moments in my life, and I wish this for you too.

Lisa’s Walk Sit & Draw the California Coast was INCREDIBLE! We loved it so much and cannot recommend it enough. I got it as a wedding present for my two dear friends who recently got married and they loved it. Lisa took us to such beautiful scenery on the coast and in the woods and it was absolutely lovely! We had such an amazing day! She is a skilled artist and knows what she's doing. She knew the area well with her own local perspective, and had so many unique art supplies we hadn't had exposure to since childhood and it was a magical experience. She also added her own flare and style to the experience and we found it to be a wonderful break into quiet beautiful serene nature. What a wonderful day. We cannot recommend this experience enough. Thank you so much Lisa!
