The only CHEF-LED PINTXO TOUR in San Sebastián, join me for a walking, eating & drinking experience you'll never forget!

We'll take a tour of the market (closed Sundays) to see what's cooking, before walking around the Old Town for pintxos (Basque tapas) and drinks at 3 of my favourite bars. It's a great walk, a good wine-soaked lunch & exactly what the locals do.

Along the route I'll show you the sites & tell you about the history & culture of the Basque Country, but my focus is definitely on FOOD & DRINK. There's no better way to learn why this is one of the world's most delicious culinary capitols. Oh, I'm also gonna email you a handful of recipes when we're done so you can take the magic home.

My route & the menu change daily, but we'll do a mix from the traditional to the modern. Expect to dine of anchovies, octopus, bacalao, veal cheeks, foie gras, suckling pig, maybe we'll nibble on a pig ear or two?

Thirsty? I'm great at pairing the perfect pour with the perfect plate, from local ciders to white wine (txakoli), young & aged tempranillo from La Rioja & beyond! Or you tear it up some exceptional Basque craft beer.

Eat and drink like a local on this unique tour!

I'm GREGORY, a chef who has been living, drinking & eating in San Sebastián for 9 years.

I lead food tours, teach cooking classes & host wine tastings, but my AirBnB experience is all about PINTXOS (Basque Tapas).

I am a JAMES BEARD FOUNDATION scholar from California, went to LE CORDON BLEU PARIS & worked on organic farms all over France, Spain & the Basque Country. San Sebastián is now home.

I want to share the culinary culture of the Basque Country with you. On our outing you'll see the sites & learn the history, but it's all about the art of small plates!

Where you'll be

Walk the Old Town, get to know its historical sights and visit the best bars & restaurants in the city. There are hundreds of pintxo bars in the area & you need a local to find the very best!

Don't forget to come hungry, along the way we'll be stopping into 3 of my favourite spots for small plates & great pours.

Gregory’s food tour was one of the highlights of our trip! In addition to trying local pintxos and drinks, we also got a lesson on culture and history which was fascinating. I especially enjoyed touring the markets and learning which local ingredients to look out for on menus at restaurants during our trip. At the end of the tour, Gregory provided us with a ton of additional recommendations in San Sebastián. We are already planning our return. :)

We really enjoyed our well-rounded tour with Gregory! It was exactly what we were looking for- a little bit of history, current events, architecture, drinks, and food! ... all while sharing a few laughs. :) We feel like we made a new friend and we would recommend Gregory to everyone!

It was extraordinary experience! His talk is very fun and informative. Not just about food, I learned history , culture, habitants and lot about st. Sebastian through is funny story! Looking around markets, he taught us tips how to choose the ingredients, check local foods, with the point of chef. The selections of bars , pinxos were all excellent. It’s really difficult to reach such good selections by my self. It highly recommend this tour! Thank you!

Gregory is a great guide through San Sebastián and its amazing food scene. Very informative as well as helpful in pointing out additional places and the culture. Highly recommend at the start of your stay in San Sebastián to have him help you get a lay of the city!

Such a great tour that incorporates a little bit of everything — history, food, meandering, food, a market tour, also more food. Such a great tour, I can’t get over how comprehensive and delicious it was.
