What you'll do
Join us for a magical night of live music at one of London's best kept, little, secret, underground venues: Folklore in Shoreditch. See top artists in a small venue, with incredible sound & great vibes. 8PM Doors: Grab a drink at the funky front bar before we call you through into the cozy venue in the back. 8.30PM- 10PMish : Stacey Cohen + Guest Act(s) 10PM- 11 PM ish Open Mic/Jam. After a set from each of the nights booked acts, the night opens up into an open mic/jam sesh where locals can sign up to play & we invite travellers to share a song from their own country, sing, or play us a cover. Or just kick back, listen, & enjoy. There will be a guitar & possibly a piano on site (by prior request) but absolutely no obligation to play either. Let's see where the night takes us. Sometimes lots of people sign up on the open mic/jam, sometimes we just hang out in the bar afterwards. We've had some truly amazing performers from all over the globe and awesome nights in the bar too. Join or visit our unique group for this night: https://www.facebook.com/groups/125196270873308 All profits go to War child, who protect, educate & nurture children in war zones. Next Show: Sept 18th Guest Act: Michael Sebastian: Michael Sebastian improvises dance music in real time. His music has the structure of modern electronic; the freedom of jazz, and the depth of world music.

Where you'll be
You'll love Folklore! It drips character & quirkiness. This is mostly a sit down listening style live music gig , rather than a dance event, although as the evening evolves it could go in any direction.. bring an open heart and an open mind. There are 2 parts to the venue, the gig is in the back, the bar in the front. The sound is very high quality, the atmosphere warm and welcoming.
