What you'll do
We will learn how to make traditional Czech kolace. Starting with the preparation of yeast dough, followed by the preparation of three different kinds of fillings, then shaping the dough to desired round form, decorating kolace using the fillings and finally baking. After we can enjoy what we made with a cup of coffee or tea :) One of the crucial things about yeast dough is letting it rest long enough. We leave the dough to rest in various stages of the making process. That leaves space for other prep activities, talks etc...I just like to mention that it is a slow process. It's a slow baking experience :)
all the equipment needed
Since I was a little child I enjoyed baking. I would spend a lot of time helping and observing my grandmother in the kitchen. Thanks to her I have learned the traditional way of baking. I also gained experience through summer work in a local bakery. For me, baking is as much about the process itself as it's about the final product and the happiness it brings to people:)
Where you'll be
The baking experience takes place in historical art nouveau building in a unique settlement of Vinohrady. It is a great chance to see the architecture of early 1900.
