What you'll do
Let me invite you to the Oratory of St. Felip Neri in Gràcia, an ancient building from the Modernism, where we will celebrate a fun and participative Outdoors Cooking class. We will get together to cook the perfect Paella & Sangria following our family recipes, we will explain you how to prepare a "Sofrito" on a low heat and a delicious homemade broth (the keys of a successful paella) . We will surprise you with some Iberian coldcuts and curious products from our land and family ;) You will discover why paella and sangria are so important to our culture and society and how they were born. And of course, we will share with you, our way to eat it, drink it and live our celebrations. Also, we will uncover some secrets of historic interest hidden in the building and enjoy its quiet and relaxing city garden. There is nothing more Barcelonian than outdoors paella cooking with a sangria glass in your hand so, join us in this experience and enjoy an unforgettable morning in Barcelona :)

Im Marina, a foodie and a travel lover! I worked as a waitress for 5 years, during this time, I realised how much I love sharing sensations of the dishes with the customers and exchanging impressions&stories about the food they have. I develop this activity with Albert, an experienced chef & sommelier who studied Cuisine direction and even ruled the kitchen of the most luxurious hotels in Barcelona. Now, he has been working as a cooking teacher for 8 years in different academies in BCN and studies Tourism. We are both very excited about hosting this experience and cant wait to meet you!!

Where you'll be
The activity takes place in the Oratory de Sant Felip Neri. Funded in 1883, it used to control all the religious activity of the district. Along the years, it has witnessed many historic events such as the Tragic Week, when it was set on fire or the Civil War. Those events left some secrets in it... At the end of the XX century, it was opened up to the neighbours and now it is an essential part of the cultural and social life in Gràcia, Barcelona
