What you'll do

We will introduce you to the screen printing and/or linocut techniques hands-on! You will be able to choose between various designs and print them on paper and tote bags, as well as carve your very own image on a a piece of linocut and make a stamp, if you wish. You will discover two of the most magical manual printing techniques with the best printers in town, while getting some cues to start printing at home.

Iris

Over the last decade I have built one of the best equipped and highest quality screen printing studios in Montreal, an amazing 1850 square feet space in the heart of the Plateau. I teach the technique, support local designers and artists with their projects, and print for clients ranging from bookbinders to movie studios. I completed a Bachelor in graphic design in Switzerland, a Bachelor in printmaking in Montreal, and a Master in Art specialized in printmaking at the Royal College of Art in London.

Things to keep in mind

Cancellation policy

Any experience can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase.

Communication policy

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 6 guests ages 12 and up can attend. Linocut involves a risk of cutting yourself. Minors as well as anyone who doesn't feel confident enough can opt out of it and concentrate on screen-printing.

Government ID

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.

More tips

1) Inks are non-washable, make sure to dress in plain clothes (we provide aprons). 2) Linocut involves cutting with small knives, it is possible that you cut yourself (this activity is optional).
