What you'll do

You'll meet your Italian-American guide, Sean on the famous Webster Ave. where Chazz Palminteri's lovely girlfriend lived in the movie "A Bronx Tale."

You'll pass by the Fordham Ave. shops that served as the dividing line for the diverse racial groups of the neighborhood in the 1960s.

As you learn about the history of the area from its beginnings as a tobacco processing hub, you'll arrive at the stoop where young Chazz Palminteri witnessed the shooting that changed his life. This is the very spot depicted at the beginning of the film.

By now you are in the bustling Arthur Ave. district, teeming with life. We'll visit The Bronx Beer Hall and Italian market with its free olive oil, cheese, and meat samples; fresh cigar rolling; and Italian importers. Bring extra cash so that you can purchase products and food.

You'll get to know what life was like for immigrants when they first arrived to this area and find out why they moved the street markets indoors permanently almost 100 years ago.

We'll finish off the tour with more food--either cappucini and cannoli or pizza/pasta depending on what your pleasure is.

Sean will answer any questions you might have about various spots in the movie, "A Bronx Tale."
Other things to note
Bronx Little Italy is in the BRONX, not Manhattan, it is a good 30 minute train ride north of Mid-town Manhattan so plan accordingly.

I'm Sean, a fluent Italian speaker and Italian-American filmmaker and actor who lives in Bronx, NY.

Being of Sicilian descent, I am very interested in the history of Italian-Americans living in the areas around Arthur Ave. and Belmont Ave. in Bronx Little Italy, the setting for Chazz Palminteri's film, "A Bronx Tale." I can take you to the iconic spots found in the movie, and I also know the best places to find cheese and meat samples, cannoli, cappucinos, and pizza!

Excellent tour of a great old school neighborhood still very Italian. Nice to see this Italian section still exhists and not gentified and trendy like so many areas are now becoming. Sean was very welcoming and very knowledgeable. I would never have gone on my own. He took us to great places to see the various foods of Italy plus foods and cheese with free samples. He know the best bakeries and pizza in the area. I highly reccommend Sean's tour of Arthur ave.

Sean was awesome! I learned several bits of history from him. Not just about Little Italy in the Bronx, but The Bronx itself and Fordham college! It was fun to see various sights from an authentic Italian neighborhood.

I truly enjoyed myself during the Bronx Tale tour! Although Sean incorporated some aspects from the movie (which is one of my favorites btw) he really shared some interesting historical facts about the Bronx and Little Italy. I am originally from the Bronx and Sean showed interest and asked questions about my childhood and my time living there. I learned a lot and he took his time to ensure we had an enjoyable and meaningful tour. I would definitely recommend if you are visiting NY!

We really enjoyed our tour of Little Italy with Sean. His pace was leisurely, but purposeful and he took us to a ton of spots we would have had no way of finding on our own...even a beautiful Catholic church that still conducts mass in Italian. He knows the area well, he knows the culture and his time spent LIVING in Italy made his understanding of the origins of Italian tradition, architechture and cuisine even greater. He helped us understand how what we saw in Little Italy related to the actual country. He even made multiple lunch suggestions and got us to give the rice ball a try. You won't be disappointed. Great guy, great tour.
