What you'll do

I will meet you at the Oculus at the World Trade Center giving some history and photo ops and take you on the PATH train (5 minutes under the Hudson). We will emerge at the river front in Paulus Hook where I live, work and thrive. While giving you a personal history, I will show you how to find the best spots with the best views, places only a native knows, where you can view and photograph the incredible skyline of my original home town, Manhattan. I will take pics of you that will awe and shock your friends at home. We will then walk south, as I tell the history of the area (and have gorgeous and unseen views and photo ops of the sailboats and ships that make the area seem like New England. There in the distance is the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, waiting to be snapped. We will walk through the historic Paulus Hook neighborhood where many of the houses date from the 1800s and where in the 1770's the British kept their command. We will wind up back at a secret hidden rooftop bar, whose spectacular views are only known to natives, with even more where you can drink shots or just take shots.

Stephen

No one knows NYC and how to see and snap it better than a native. I have lived and led tours through both Broadway and across the river for decades. A licenced tour guide, with over a decade experience with showing groups things they never knew existed. My award winning writing career extends to photography and can now be shared with you. My expertise in how to frame the best photos will have your friends marveling when you go home. Anyone can cross the River, but finding the best spots (including a secret hideaway with a bar and incredible view) is my secret power. Funny, gregarious & smart

Where you'll be

We will visit the Oculus at the World Trade Center, the Path Train going to Jersey City, the Paulus Hook waterfront, the Morris Canal, the famous Colgate Clock, and a bar with a view of Manhattan.
