About your host

I'm the Voyage Coordinator for Hawaiki Rising Voyaging Trust. I've been arranging voyages for people on board our beautiful traditional 22m Polynesian sailing vessel - Hinemoana - since our Charitable Trust began offering Day Sails and Voyages two years ago. I work with Patrick Mohi - an extremely experienced skipper and his crew and together we offer a unique cultural marine experience.

What we’ll do

Join us on board and enjoy spectacular views of Tauranga's harbour and coastal waters and marine life while you help to sail Hinemoana - our magnificent 22 metre traditional Polynesian sailing vessel. Learn about traditional sailing methods and histories from our experienced crew. We'll anchor up for lunch and there'll be time for a swim if you wish before we sail back to our berth at Tauranga…

What else you should know

Voyagers should be free of significant physical challenges that may hinder them or others whilst on a moving vessel.
