What you'll do

I will show you around Praga and help to discover its contrasts and artistic scene. While walking along dark streets, hidden backyards and modernised areas I want to give you a wide perspective on latest transformations in the district. Praga has experienced a major change within past few years - from being perceived as a dangerous district to the lively area attracting creative industries and local artists. Now the streets of Praga tell the story of the Second World War as well as they give a clear insight into how the creative part of the city looks like.

We will take a look at the most iconic street art pieces, spot some bars and cafes and look around vintage stores presenting polish design. If we’re lucky, we will also have the opportunity to see the dark side of Praga, so be prepared for a thrilling experience!

I am Zosia, German philology student, living in Warsaw my entire life. My greatest interest is art in all its ways of expression. I love how the local culture can reflect the history, traditions and social issues of the country and that's what I'm looking for while travelling and hosting my Airbnb-experience.

Despite the freezing weather, I had a wonderful experience with Zosia around the magical Praga neighborhood. Zosia was lovely and took us to streets and places that I would not have discover by myself. Zosia is an adorable person and has a lot of knowledge as someone who grew up around. After the experience with her, I walked around the neighborhood alone and discovered a few other places I would join them for an experience with her. Praga is n interesting neighborhood to get lost in. I recommend you to discover the area with Zosia.

This is a truly unique experience in Warsaw. Praha is this “hip and artsy” part of town that has lots of spontaneous street arts and other interesting details, due to the years-long effort of its residents, including artists. It’s a hidden gem that would be easily missed if you just wander by yourself otherwise. The host Zosia and her sister Helena, the co-host, are from this area and really knowledgeable about its history, culture, and people. They are kind and communicative, and connect with you on a personal level as well as make sure everyone feels included on the tour. Together we explored several historical buildings, wall murals, art installations, and make-shift shrine of Holy Mary (this you must see for yourself!) The tour was nicely concluded with a drink in a local cafe - exactly what one needs after hours of walking in the crispy Polish winter. All in all, no matter if you were a Polish culture enthusiast, an artist/patron of arts/artist wannabe, or just looking for cool stuff, this is the tour for you.

Zosia was a very friendly and forthcoming guide. We were a group of 6 people from Germany and she offered to do the tour in german. It was her first time speaking german during one of her tours but we understood everything perfectly. She answered all of our questions and even went out of her way to show us a place we wanted to see. We can definetly recommend her as a guide through Praga!

I met with Zosia‘s sister Helena. She grew up in Praga so she knows the area like the back of her hand and was able to tell many personal stories. We saw some really cool places I never would have discovered without her. I highly recommend this tour as an entry into a very exciting district in transition - with a really smart and funny host.

Dziękuję i polecam gorąco.
