What we’ll do

We will launch from the Port Hunter 16ft Sailing Club, hug the Stockton shoreline and ballast grounds past the ferry wharf and into the bay at Pirate Point. You'll be treated to a coffee and pastry on the beach before taking a stroll along Shipwreck Walk. I'll share stories of the area including its maritime history. Participants should be in good health but you do not need a high level of fitness to enjoy the experience. The kayaks are very stable. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

Where you'll be

You'll get to see the city of Newcastle from its busy working harbour, glide leisurely along the Stockton peninsula taking in views from Dyke Point to Nobby's Head Lighthouse. We will watch the movements on the harbour which regularly include big ships, tugs, ferry, shipping fleet and on occasion, cruise liners.
