What you'll do

I will accompany guests on a tour of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC's) David Sencer museum, one of my favorite places ever, which is open to the public and free. Highlights include an iron lung, a Guinea worm, and an exhibit about Ebola. I will share the history of the area and why Atlanta is called the "public health capital of the world." There are many lunch spots available across the street at Emory Point.

Where you'll be

We will spend most of our time in the CDC museum—it has multiple floors and experiences and traveling exhibits and is a lot to explore.

Things to keep in mind

Cancellation policy

Any experience can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase, or at least 7 days before the experience starts.

Communication policy

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 8 guests ages 11 and up can attend.

Government ID

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.

What to bring

Government issued ID or passport. This is a federally funded, secure site and you will go through a metal detector.

More tips

Bring government-issued ID or passport. Wear comfortable walking shoes and casual clothing. You can bring cell phones and/or cameras into the museum. You cannot go into the actual CDC campus or offices.
