What you'll do

On arrival guests will be introduced to Brian Garvey owner of Rathe House and his team of dogs, and understand the basics of working with animals in open areas. Brian will then demonstrate the dogs working a flock of sheep in a small paddock and the art of using voice commands. Each person will practice working with the dog and moving the sheep into their small pen. Following that, the group will then load into the 4x4 and head out onto the open field with the dogs to the larger herds. You will also, explore the farm, visit their private lake, and have lunch in Rathe's famous dome mud hut. You will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with their bottle feed lambs.
