About your host

''Even when you're alone, you're never really alone.'' I'm a 4th generation kama'aina and believe my mission is to 'hoo'ike' (to share my knowledge and resources) with the gifts and calling I have been given. My calling lies in making creative designs in all media and to teach others. I have degrees in art, IT and business and have used my creativity to serve in exciting R&D projects over the…

What we’ll do

Ever wonder what makes a brush a good or junk brush? Ever heard that watercolor is the hardest form of painting to master? In this all-inclusive experience, I will introduce materials, a simple rhythm for watercolor painting with 3 basic strokes that will give you the confidence to enjoy painting with watercolors. This is a hands on activity, you will listen to the learning points and watch demos,…

What else you should know

Wear comfortable clothes and bring your hydroflask, so you have something to drink while you paint. Art is thirsty business!

What I’ll provide

In Hawai'i, food is integral to our culture, so I will bring light pupus. Bring your own drinks.
You will need to buy your ticket and reservations before the event. No refunds, but you may rebook or gift to another.
You will need to find your own transportation.
I provide everything! We will be using professional quality watercolors and testing a variety of brushes. Relax and have fun!

What to bring

Nothing! Just yourself!

Where you'll be

For 1 to 2 people, we will meet at an agreed upon public location at the Chinatown Loft Artist Studio. When we are done with our Color Bridges, I'll give a little history and tips about the area so you can enjoy walking about the area when we are done. If you book 3 to 8 people, we will meet at Impact Hub in Kaka'ako. Both locations offer rich historical and cultural points of interest and great dining to enjoy after you leave the workshop.
