What you'll do

You’ll cast and strip flies from the platform of a steady jet boat and tease the strike of one of literally thousands of shad swimming up river. Often called the “freshwater tarpon”, the American Shad can be an absolute blast on the fly and numbers hooked can add up quickly. Come join us on the Willamette River for a fun 4-hour session fly fishing for shad in June. All the gear is provided and water and soft drinks too. Anglers of all levels enjoy the battle of the shad. This is urban fishing at its most fun in a beautiful and historic setting. Fish with the background of the Willamette Falls-the second largest falls by volume in the U.S.A. From the jet boat ride on the Willamette to hard-fighting shad (and a lot of 'em), it's an experience for anglers of all skill levels. After some time on the Willamette, you’ll understand that this inner city waterway isn’t just for Chinook and Steelhead. You’ll likely see sturgeon roll near the boat and enjoy other sights that can only be experienced from the water. Most of our clients are repeat customers and we’re confident you will be too. Trip includes guided jet boat trip on the Willamette River. Flies, rods, reel, lines and equip
