What you'll do

Come and be a part of the One Kind Family! We'll begin with a tour of the urban garden, learn about the herbs and spices, and how to harvest them. We'll prep the dishes, squeeze coconut milk, pound kedondong pesto (you won't find it anywhere else in Singapore), grind the curry paste and cook together, all under Mummy Soh's watchful eye. Sit down and enjoy a natural organic meal together while sharing stories. You'll make new friends while you eat and be given a grow-it-yourself self watering stick that Mummy Soh's grandson Dylan successfully launched on Kickstarter.

Mummy Soh is 76 years old (the eldest of 12 kids) and a champion of active elder aging, growing wholesome foods that nourish the body and soul, and cooking homegrown recipes. She grows her own plants; she believes fresh ingredients can create the most memorable meals. She's one of the most popular cooking hosts on Airbnb in Singapore today! She will beguile you with her stories of Singapore and recipes from a time when mothers of all races exchanged theirs. It is a reflection of our culture and the family tradition.

Where you'll be

The back garden is awash with herbs and vegetables. It’s located in an old school where Mummy Soh’s son Calvin used to study. Then you'll move into a modern kitchen for the lesson proper.
