What you'll do

We're going to look at Shiraz in all it's different forms around the world. Staring in the Northern Rhône in France and then discussing where Syrah has found favour around the world before taking an in depth look at Australian Shiraz - it's history and it's special place in the Hunter Valley. We will taste wines from France and Australia (and possibly beyond) showcasing how different Syrah/Shiraz can be depending on where it is grown before finally having a look at a couple of Shiraz wines from the Glenguin Estate range, including some rare and archive wines. Weather and time permitting, we will have a quick look out at the Schoolhouse Block of Shiraz and discuss vineyard management techniques that allows us to grow this very special grape variety.
