About your host

Im from Bogotá, 37, married to Johanna, own a funky pet named Rola (like people born in Bogotá). I love walking in the city, exploring it, always looking for special corners. I know pretty well my city, its a big city, it has problems like any city but it also has its charm. Especially the eastern mountains. Love to hike up there. I know when you can walk in certain places and when you can not,…

What we’ll do

It is a walk through the north of the city. Starting in the Plaza de Usaquen at the north east side of Bogotá. From there we walk towards the mountain and in less than 1 KM we are inside nature. It's a mid-level hike. Approx 2 km in ascent. From the top we can see all the north of the capital and we will arrive at the other side to the San Rafael Reservoir from where the water that supplies the…

What else you should know

if we are in rainy season you may need a raincoat just in case.

What I’ll provide

It is also a good idea to bring fruits to eat during the tour. I recommend tangerines that are perfect for thirst.
As it is a walk we need to be hydrated. So it is ideal to carry water or whatever you wish to drink.

What to bring

comfortable clothes, comfortable shoes for walking.

Where you'll be

This plan is ideal during week days. It is not a busy place so the experience is special. We will get inside the andean forest and its vast vegetation. At the end of the climb we will arrive at a viewpoint from where you can see the north of the city of Bogotá. After that we will cross to the other side of the mountain from where we will see the San Rafael reservoir. Then we go back and can go to visit the neighborhoods of Santa Barbara and Sant

Guest safety

Outdoor activities carry risks, and you may be exposed to dangerous situations as part of this experience. Make sure you can participate safely given your abilities and the conditions (such as location, weather, and equipment).

Things to keep in mind

Cancellation policy

Any experience can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase, or at least 7 days before the experience starts.

Communication policy

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 4 guests ages 18 and up can attend. Since Bogotá is 2600 meters above sea level, it is advisable not to do this walk just the day you arrive. It´s better to acclimatize two or three days so that you do not lack oxygen.

Government ID

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.
