What you'll do

I am a native of the SC coast and a wildlife biologist. I have worked in coastal conservation and environmental education for more than 20 years. Our tours are crafted to immerse you in natural history of the salt marsh ecosystem and bottlenose dolphins! We meet at dock slip D2 at Edisto Marina (there aren't many signs so leave early to find us.) You will board our 12 passenger, inspected boat. After signing a waiver and a safety briefing, your captain will take you to the feeding and breeding grounds of the bottlenose dolphins. Your captain will tell you baput their amazing life history while you enjoy watching them interact, feed or relax.

I am a wildlife biologist and choose other guides based on their knowledge, experience and passion. We will show you our favorite places and the wonder of our ecosystem. Co-hosts include Capt Landon and Capt Bob. Both men are passionate about the SC lowcountry ecosystem and cultural history. Bob is a retired teacher and volunteers with the SC Dept of Natural Resources and the Edisto Island Land Trust. Landon has grown up on the waters around Edisto. He has returned to school to complete his bachelor's degree in Biology.

We will criuse the marshes and rivers of Edisto Beach looking for pur resident marine mammal, Atlantic bottlenose dolphins.

More tips

Due to the town sign ordinnace, we can be hard to locate. Check ahead of time if your phone will direct you to Edisto Marina. Wear a jacket in the spring or fall.
