About your host

I am Thomas, an experienced guide and foreign-born local in Granada. After a Master's in Hispanic studies and many years of experience as a historical guide I want to take you on a marvellous off-the-beaten tracks tour to Santa Fe's hot springs and its surroundings. I speak fluent English, Spanish, Dutch and French. I also have a good basic knowledge of German and Portuguese. I have 7 years…

What we’ll do

-THIS IS THE ORIGINAL GRANADA HOT SPRINGS TOUR- Too cold to join in wintertime? Wrong: the water has a constant 38°C temperature! I will take you on a road trip leaving from Granada to a very magical place in the middle of the olive tree plantations that surround Granada; there we will find natural hot springs next to a protected natural area called Dehesas de Santa Fe. The roads are unpaved…

What else you should know

When weather conditions are bad the activity can still take place, but the car will be parked further because of the mud. In this case bring a warm raincoat as it can be cold outside the springs.

What I’ll provide

Food
I bring some typical tapas from the area with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
Drinks
I will bring refreshments according to each one's preference whether you prefer coke, lemonade, cold beer, hot coffee or cava
Transport
With my van I will take you from our meeting point in Granada to the hot springs and then again back after the activity.

What to bring

towel
swimming pants/ bikini (optional)
walking boots
Some water

Where you'll be

We visit the thermal baths of Santa Fe, which is a series of natural hot springs (temperature 38 degrees) in the middle of vast olive plantations surrounding the city of Granada. The hot springs were discovered whilst looking for oil which luckily was never found, but they have so far been very little commercialized. This makes the place on the one hand very unique but on the other hand very hard to find without a guide as there are no road sign
