What you'll do

We gather to mount electric bicycles in Alkmaar and head out of the city towards Bergen. Here I will explain some of this peculiar artists village history and we will pass the main sites like ruin church, deer camp while we head into the forest by the artificial skiing piste.
We will pause for coffee or tea at the pancake house which is also a monumental building and we can walk to the viewpoint from where we can see that North Sea, I'll explain interesting things about the area.
Upon entering the forest area i will point out specific natural curiosities like different types of mushrooms, species of birds and division of vegetation.
We will enter the dune area where Highland cows are grazing. This species of Scottish cows have wide-ranging, upward-facing horns, while those of the bulls stand horizontally forward.
I have in depth knowledge of the area and I can propose different routes to take depending on the clients cycling ability.

Hi, I am Thongbotho Boekel, 40 years and I grew up in Alkmaar and went to school in Bergen, I also lived in Bergen aan Zee for a while with my father.

I have traveled to many countries over my life and now that I have moved back home I am still mesmerized by the fascinating natural surroundings of Alkmaar/Bergen/Schoorl.

Specifically how the farmlands progress to forest area, sand dunes and then the beach is a unique natural phenomenon with astonishing sights and views.

I am passionate to guide people on cycling trips by electric bicycle through this miraculous landscape
